Cheeba was surrendered to NCR by her previous owners when they could no longer care for her. She was initially fostered by a couple in the community before being taken in by the NWT SPCA. There, she found a forever home with a loving couple who already had two dogs. As a husky mix, Cheeba is naturally energetic, inquisitive, social, and vocal. She loves giving kisses, playing with her canine siblings, and frolicking in the snow.
“Cheeba is enjoying the City life and adventuring in the woods with her two new brother and sister (Colby and Niki). She also enjoys the comforts of home with all her new toys and new humans. “-Margo

Trixie
Northern Canine Recue | Adoption Stories | Trixie
Trixie is a 1 year old "CamBay Special"(aka: husky, terrier and who knows what else in the gene pool). She is a surrender from Cambridge Bay Nunavut. A family that could no longer care for her allowed me to adopt and re-home her. To them I will be forever grateful as she is; loving, sweet, obedient, fast learner, eager to please, adaptable and full of life. As she has had a few litters and this brought out her maternal instinct and therefore she is mellow with ALL dogs she meets. Easy going in temperament, momma's golden girl (nick name is Trixie-Mae). We have observed her with kids that visit and she is gentle and loving.
“Our family feels truly blessed to have her."- Kathaleen

He loves those peanut butter treats and the kids love making them for him, they have a lot of fun with him, my grandson rides him like a horse, and butterz walks him around like that "- Owner
