Where your money goes when you donate to Northern Canine Rescue
Vet Clinic
38% of our fundraising/donations goes to the cost of our annual vet clinic. We hold a 3 day clinic where we fly a vet team and their equipment from Alberta, we also provide housing, meals and transportation. The vet team performs valuable spay/neuter, dental work, lump removal, annual exams & vaccinations.
Freight
13% of our fundraising/donations flies out dogs to the Yellowknife SPCA on a regular basis and also to get our supplies in.
Vaccines
6% of our fundraising/donations goes towards the cost and shipping vaccines to Cambridge Bay so that we can vaccinate resident’s dogs/puppies throughout the year.
Supplies
23% of our fundraising/donations helps with the cost of pet supplies needed for our fosters and to fly out dogs to the Yellowknife SPCA for adoption. Supplies include puppy/dog food, kennels for flying dogs out, collars, leashes, tie outs and feeding dishes.
Shelter Maintainence
11% of our fundraising/donations will help us maintain and do any repairs to our two small buildings that house dog/puppies and supplies.
Fundraising Expenses
9% of our fundraising/donations goes to the purchase of any fundraising supplies that we require. For example: radio bingo supplies.
